First and foremost, I want to say thank you to Dr. Debro for choosing me to be the recipient of the 2019 Love Yourself to Life ™ Nursing Scholarship. Committing to the 28-day Love Yourself to Life ™ commitment was a blessing in itself. The daily participation has helped me to become a stronger woman.
Being the recipient of this scholarship is a huge blessing to me and it could not have come at a better time. I feel God has truly blessed me with having Dr. Debro as my former teacher and He has given me faith to believe. Because of all of this: continuing to pursue my dream of becoming a nurse, becoming committed to myself, and continuing to pray, I have gained the biggest reward and that is learning how to Love Myself to Life.
Upon graduation from the nursing program, my goal is to pass the NCLEX exam. After successfully passing the exam, I hope to gain experience, as a floor nurse with visions of advancement to become a charge nurse or manager. Concurrently, while I work to gain experience, I plan to continue my education. I have plans to start working towards my Bachelor’s degree in Nursing immediately with my dream goal of becoming a Nurse Practitioner.
