D² Homes for the Homeless with JuanTe Dailey

In December 2019, I kept feeling the nudging from the Holy Spirit to support JuanTe Dailey’s mission of serving the homeless population. Dsquared Homes for the Homeless mission is focused on “Reframing Mental Health.” Thank you JuanTe for being a light to others in the community and giving your heart to those in need. You are a true example of what it means to Love Yourself to Life™.

“We are committed to the belief each human being is more than simply the episodes of his or her life, although for some, mental illness can prevent that truth from being clearly seen or experienced. To serve those who are without resources to help themselves live the fullness of their human dignity, their God-given right, is the mission of Dsquared. We take seriously this proverbial wisdom. “Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act” (Pro 3.27)”  D² Homes for the Homeless For more information visit the website at https://dsquared4homeless.org/

Most people experiencing homelessness are individuals (67 percent). The remainder (33 percent) are people in families with children. Public policy has put a focus on additional subpopulations.

One of the subpopulations is youth who are under the age of 25 and living on their own (without parents or children). This group is 7 percent of the total homeless population. In recent years, coordinated efforts at all levels of government have also targeted veterans (7 percent of the total homeless population) and chronically homeless people (18 percent). This last group consists of people with disabilities who have been homeless for an extended period of time or repeatedly. (National Alliance to End Homelessness)
