A Quick Reminder Not to Give Up

I know what it feels like to be broken and in a dark place. I’ve been to the point of giving up and attempted to end my life. God had a different plan and I’m thankful every day that He saved me from me! If you are feeling hopeless and if things won’t get better, I’m here today to reassure you that it will get better. My darkest days have become my best testimony.

Collaboration is Necessary for Success!

“Each one of us has one body, and that body has many parts. These parts don’t all do the same thing. In the same way, we are many people, but in Christ we are all one body. We are the parts of that body, and each part belongs to all the others. We all have different gifts. Each gift came because of the grace God gave us.” (Romans 12:4-6 ERV) The Word clearly defines the need for us working together because we all have specific gifts, talents, and abilities to share with others.

Collaboration is a necessary part of life. We can’t grow personally or professionally without others. We’ve heard the saying “it takes a village to raise a child.” It’s going to take a village for us to get through life. It’s going to take a village of prayer warriors to tear down mountains, to uproot strongholds, to let Satan know that we aren’t playing when we need God to answer our prayers. It’s going to take voices to let Satan know that we aren’t giving up because of his schemes.  It’s going to take a village for us to build and grow together. Collaboration is necessary for success! 2019 Love Yourself to Life Goals

We’ve made it through 2018 while celebrating the wins and learning from the losses. In 2019, let’s be more intentional about the importance to Love Yourself to Life. As a community of women who support each other, it’s important that we embrace the importance of self-care. In doing so, we are loving ourselves to life. We can’t give from an empty cup.

Please share two things with us: 1. What did you do in 2018 to Love Yourself to Life? and 2. What are your goals for 2019 to Love Yourself to Life? I need to hear from you as well as other women who are on the journey of fulfillment for self-love. I look forward to your comments.

Speak What God Says About You

Loving Yourself to Life involves knowing and BELIEVING what the Father thinks and desires for you. His thoughts are good towards you and not evil. Whenever you find yourself entertaining a negative thought seed placed in your mind, you have to combat it by speaking positive affirmations about yourself.

I am a firm believer of Proverbs 18:21– “The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.” Instead of negative self-talk, speak care and compassion, empowerment and motivation, and power and strength. More importantly, speak what God says about you. I like to speak God’s Word over me in first person.

  • I am the head (leader) and not the tail (follower). I am above and not beneath. Deuteronomy 28:13
  • I have God’s peace, and it surpasses all understanding. Philippians 4:7
  • I am more than a conqueror. Romans 8:37
  • I am holy and unblemished in God’s sight. Ephesians 1:4
  • My needs are met. Philippians 4:19
  • I can do all things through Christ because He gives me strength. Philippians 4:13
  • Although I have sinned, I have been forgiven and washed by Christ’s blood. Ephesians 1:7
  • I have a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7

The Word is filled with scriptures that describe who we are in Christ. We have to make sure to access His Word on a daily basis and study who God says we are in order to combat the negative thoughts that Satan consistently tries to plant in our minds.

What are some negative thoughts that you are plagued with concerning your self-image (inner and outer)?  Beside each of the negative thoughts, write down a scripture that is the complete opposite of the negative thought. The scriptures you find are promised to you if you embrace the promises and follow the commands of God. Receive love from Father to truly Love Yourself to Life!
